American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio formed in 1982.
"Steel and Starlight" was the bands sophomore release, yet still their first major label album. With the major underground following Shok Paris achieved with their Go For The Throat album, they caught the eye of many major label record companies, and eventually signed with I.R.S. This album took on a bit of a commercial feel, but still retaining the original Shok Paris sound. Although moving to I.R.S. the band still retained Bill Peters as co-producer and executive producer, the reason the band retained their unique sound. Very evident on this album is the maturing of the band as musicians, and as a unit. "Castle Walls" is a masterpiece that to this day, withstands the test of time...
You can play this album from start to finish, and enjoy every track on it, unlike many other albums of the time. Once again, slicing guitars, a thundering backbone, and the best set of pipes in the industry set this album a part from the pack ! With the release of "Steel and Starlight", the future looked quite bright for this rock n' roll machine... Only time would tell...
